Allergy Diary

Log the meals, environments, and symptoms of each day; the diary then correlates which foods and exposures show up most often on days you react, so you can spot likely triggers over time. Export a clean report to bring to your allergist. All data stays on your device.

How It Works

Food and environmental reactions are often delayed and easy to misremember, so a written diary is the first thing most allergists ask for. Each time you eat or notice a reaction, add an entry:

  • Date & meal: when it happened and which meal, so timing lines up with symptoms
  • Foods: everything you ate, separated by commas — each item is tracked individually
  • Environment / exposures: pollen, pets, dust, mold, chemicals, weather — anything you were around
  • Symptoms & severity (0-10): what you felt and how bad; 0 means the meal or exposure caused no reaction
  • Notes: onset time, what helped, or anything else worth remembering
Finding correlations

The Suspected Triggers table splits every entry into its individual foods and exposures, then measures how each one lines up with your reactions:

  • Avg severity — the average reaction score of all entries containing that item
  • Reaction rate — how often that item appears on an entry where you actually reacted (severity 4 or more)

An item that keeps showing up right before moderate-to-severe reactions rises to the top. This is a pattern hint, not a diagnosis — a food can appear guilty simply because you eat it every day. The more entries you log, the more reliable the pattern.

Reaction Severity Scale
RangeMeaning
0No reaction — tolerated fine
1 - 3Mild — noticeable but not disruptive
4 - 6Moderate — interferes with some activities
7 - 10Severe — hard to function; seek care if needed

Use Export PDF to print a clean report (summary, suspected triggers, and full history) — in the print dialog choose "Save as PDF" — or Export CSV to open your raw log in a spreadsheet.

Important: A correlation is not a confirmed allergy. Never start or stop eating a food based on this tool alone; severe allergies can be life-threatening. If you have signs of a serious reaction — trouble breathing, swelling of the lips or throat, faintness — seek emergency care.
